Layla Danelle Neira is a senior at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, pursuing a degree in Architecture. As Vice President of the American Institute of Architects Student Chapter, she actively engages in initiatives that foster architectural discourse and collaboration. Her passion for both art and architecture, paired with her love for travel, has inspired her to explore museums and architectural landmarks across the globe.
In her free time, Layla enjoys visiting art galleries, watching films, and planning her next adventure. She believes that every space tells a story and is eager to learn from the team at Clawson Architects. Layla is particularly excited to delve into the architectural process and the thoughtful, intentional approach that characterizes the firm’s work. She looks forward to applying her creativity and skills while expanding her knowledge beyond the classroom.
Recently, Layla was awarded 1st Place in the 2024 American Institute of Architects Newark and Suburban Chapter Design Awards for Design Excellence in the Student Projects category.
