PE, LEED AP– Professional Engineer + Green Building
Colleen admits, it is easier to explain and more fun to show her family and friends the rustic timber entrance, pergolas and whimsical play structures at the Billy Johnson Playground in Central Park that she helped detail the structural connections for, than to explain the management of a geotechnical project that covered 1,500 acres in the Bronx or the steel framed federal office building in San Diego she worked on. We here at Clawson Architects recognized the technical feats and management skills necessary to complete these projects are remarkable and offered Colleen a position on Team Clawson.
A true learner with a drive to know more, Colleen has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master of Structural Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. She is a Licensed Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional signifying her core competency as an engineer and in green building principles and has earned a certificate in Urban Sustainability. Colleen a true renaissance woman, has also pursued opportunities to increase her knowledge in art and design by attending classes in Furniture Design, Daylighting and History of Architecture. With this breadth of knowledge of the built environment, she embraces the collaborator role bringing all the pieces together. Colleen plays a key role in our quality control and team/project coordination
