The original house was designed by Architect was Milton Klein, AIA in 1962.  A Techbuilt House was the precedent for the for the house design.  The Techbuilt used modular construction to facilitate the construction of the house in a minimum amount of time.

The existing house has a modest basement and crawl spaces to provide heat and ventilation for the house. Nearly 60 years after it was built and ten years after the current owners lived in the home, mold was detected due to water migrating into the crawlspace. This was the catalyst for the renovations to the home that has taken many twists and turns. The steep slope had the home fighting a losing battle against the runoff.

We immediately assembled a team of talented professional civil engineers and landscape architects to resolve both the water issue and the impossible driveway and sought a variance. The variance request received a unanimous vote of approval with the board recognizing that the site improvements would benefit many in the area, especially anything downhill from this site.
